I'm getting calls from users advising that all incoming SMS are being displayed on the BlackBerry from the same contact?

Example: incoming sms from John Smith is showing as incoming from John Smith

However: incoming sms from Jane Doe is also showing as coming from john Smith.

the Devices are 8900's running 5.0.0.411 on BES 4.1.6 on vodafone UK.

any ideas?

I remember that was a problem from earlier 5.0.0.x versions. Not sure specifically about .411. I'm running 5.0.0.509 now, and the problem has gone away.

we googled for it in the end, found a thread on the offical blackberry support forum, we've decided to upgrade the effected handsets to 5.0.0.592, which seems to have fixed the issue
