Question BBAlerts causing BB hangs?

Please Login to Remove!

We are thinking of ditching our pagers and switching to SMS, but the lack of reminder alerts on the BB is a problem. A couple of us bought BBAlerts! to see if/how_well it works.

As far as basic functionality goes it's great! Definitely solves the reminder alert problem.

However, before installing BBAlerts neither of the guinea pig BB's had stability problems. But after installing BBAlerts both have hung a couple times. Which is a problem given how much we will be depending on them.

It says it's version 1.75. We bought it from Handango a few weeks ago. It's running on a couple Curves but the target devices will be Curves and Bolds.

Any one else having/had this problem with BBAlerts? Thx!

There are several other apps that do the same or similar thing.

BerryBuzz or SmartAlerts from bellshare.com.
Bebuzz which seems to be a different version of Berrybuzz found on appworld.

EDIT: correction on the Bebuzz app.
