It is a commercial product. Won't be open source.

We are going through legal claims at this moment.

Again, GSM phone only.

If you're still accepting beta test candidates, I would love to throw my hat in the ring too.

I'm on AT&T with a Bold 9000.

I had nokia before. its so easy so enter sip details in native client and i never ever had any problem.
switched to blackberry....loved it.(first time blackberry user)
to my surprise no sip client....not even any app, forget the built in ones.
all the sip services i could find have service attached.
made my life very hard.

then this is the only hope I am counting on.

I'll love to test beta.

please please dont hardcode any sip details......let user use its own service of choice.

We took the extra time to make sure that there are no hardcoded SIP details.

Does it work without APN ?

Do we need a data plan or can we use exclusively our Wifi connection ?

Thanks

No. You don't need a data plan (no APN) if you just want to use with WIFI.

First of all, thanks for your efforts. AFAIK this is the first real SIP software for BB, so congrats!!
However, as a FOSS lover, user and creator, I can't avoid requesting you to consider releasing your client as Open Source. There are (guess you already knew ) several business models that work well with FOSS.

Anyway, I will try and help improving it reporting bugs.

Question: will it be able to run in background??

Thanks in advance, and congratulations again.

Yes. Runs in the background and double rings when a call comes in.
