I recently upgraded from BB 8830 to BB 9630. With the 8830, I was able to display my Call Log on the phone screen, but I can't seem to make it happen with the 9630. According to the User Guide for the 9630, I should be able to change the Phone List View field to "Call Log." However, "Call Log" does not appear in the drop-down list of options on my BB. My choices are Most Recent, Most Used, and Name. What am I missing? Please help!

Are you looking in Messsages > Menu key> View Folder?

I'm not sure what you mean by Phone List View.

No, I'm not in Messages. I don't want the calls to appear in Messages. I'm trying to change Phone Options:
Phone>Menu key>Options>Phone Options>General Options
("Phone List View" is under General Options)

Any thoughts?

The "Phone List View" does EXACTLY what it says. It affects how the phone calls are LISTED on the Phone Screen.

Listed by Most Recent, Most Used, or Name

The Call Log (as noted above) (and it DOESN'T show in the Messages list) is accessed by opening the Messages application, pressing Menu, selecting "View Folder" and scrolling to "Phone Call Log".

On my old BB (8830), I was able to view my Call Log from the phone screen. I want to be able to see all calls from the phone screen instead of having to view folder. According to the 9630 User Guide, I should be able to set Phone List View to "Call Log" (see below), but "Call Log" is not in my list of options.

Sort phone numbers or contacts on the Phone screen
1. From the Home screen, press the Send key.
2. Press the Menu key.
3. Click Options.
4. Click General Options.
5. Perform one of the following actions:
• To sort phone numbers or contacts by frequency of use, change the Phone List View field to Most Used.
• To sort contacts alphabetically by contact name, change the Phone List View field to Name.
• To sort phone numbers or contacts by recency of use, change the Phone List View field to Most Recent.
6. Press the Menu key.
7. Click Save.
To sort phone numbers or contacts by call logs again, change the Phone List View field to Call Log.

I see that in the 9630 User Guide also, but maybe it's an error, because I don't have that option on my Tour and never did.

lorilatt, the Phone Screen DOES show ALL the calls.

Are you NOT seeing the phone calls on that screen? Mine goes back to the first day I got my Tour.

I don't see ALL calls on the phone screen, only placed and received calls for the last 30 days. Right now my Phone Screen View is set to "Most Recent," which is closest to the "Call Log" option I used on the 8830. The problem is missed calls don't appear when using the "Most Recent" option. It's a pain to have to go to Messages>View Folder to see ALL calls.

Oh well...it appears the "Call Log" option isn't available on the Tour. I guess I'll have to adjust.

BB should correct the User Guide!

Maybe you need to update the device to OS version 5.0.
