I have a very weird issue on the contact in my BB 8900 with App version 4.6.1.310(456).

I have set the contact list to sort by first name. Now in the contact list, seems like there are two separate list that sort by first name. for example:
FirstNameA LastNameA
FirstNameE LastNameE
FirstNameF LastNameF
FirstNameG LastNameG
FirstNameZ LastNameZ
FirstNameB LastNameB
FirstNameD LastNameD
FirstNameY LastNameY

Notice that there are two ascending list, one is from FirstNameA to FirstNameZ, and the other is from FirstNameB to FirstNameY! why this is happening?

Actually the most annoying thing is that only the first list will appear in the search, and other auto complete list! For example, in the contact list, if I type "FirstName", only the records that in the first list appeared, person FirstNameB, FirstNameD, FirstNameY never appear.

anyone know what could be the reason? I have been trying to find the pattern that why the contact belong to first list or the second list, but no clue yet. I tried to update a few contacts in the second list in outlook, after sync to bb, some goes to first list, while some doesn't! really need to have this fix!

multiple issues and none have a solution but if you have a title filled in maybe this may help


Overview
When the Address Book application options are set to sort by First Name and an entry contains a Title field, the contact list entries are sorted by the first letter of the Title field and not by the first letter of the First Name field.

Note: The Contacts application is known as the Address Book application in BlackBerry Device Software version 4.5 and earlier.

This is a previously reported issue that has been escalated internally to our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.

Thanks tsac. Hope RIM can fix it next release. This has been very annoying.

seems my issue is not the same as tsac mentioned actually, I don't have value in the Title fields. now almost all contacts are in the second list, while the name popup is only search the first list. which means almost all contacts are not popup/autocomplete when emailing, calling etc. anyone know what wrong?
