2 quick questions... phone is aggravating me... thanks

Hi all
Two issues going on with my 9700
If i start a new text... it will put the persons name in twice, and send them 2 text messages... does that have anything to do with the numbers being on the SIM and the Phone? wtf... annoying
also
I called a number the other day... I deleted some girl off my phone, but when i called her number, her name still came up, then again she was no where to be found in my contact list
what gives?

not in the call list, haven't called this person in about a year
is there any way i can check to see my phone/sim memory and whats in it?
this isn't the first time this has happened... text messages from people who i deleted a year ago still come up... its really weird

Then I would say they are stored on your SIM card.
From contacts, menu - SIM Contacts (i believe is the option).

got it.. thanks for the info
now... if i delete all these on my SIM, the rest will remain on my phone right?
i'm still wondering why my phone is duplicating my text messages.. hmmm

Yes.
I know there should be a way to see the SIM text messages, I just don't remember where that option is.

deleted a few contacts out that were duplicates in my phone and sim card.... sent a text message to a friend... her name was put in twice.... wtf
when i got to messages, click sms, put ONE name in, and my phone makes me hit "ok" twice, and then there are two names in the recipients field at the top of the text
god god damnit damnit
