Yes, but will be interesting to see if there are any differences from recent 9630 OSs. I'm running .662 and not planning to upgrade right away unless there seems to be improvement. My Tour is pretty stable for now.
One thing I do know is to be sure not to do the OTA upgrade.

Is this going to be available as a download vs. OTA in the future? I personally don't need it yet but I was wondering if there was still a choice between OTA or a download installed via DM.

It will probably also be available on the Verizon website later today or tomorrow.

Just downloaded it from VZW's website, but when I check for updates the phone says none are available.
I'd been wondering if the 9630/50 software was compatible with both phones. If this is the same version they pushed out for the 9650, I guess my question is answered....

The only way the OTA update will show is if you're running the most recent version of Verizon's software. If you upgraded to a non-Verizon OS, then you won't have the option.
The 9650 version of this OS is not compatible with the 9630 and vice versa. OSes are device specific.

Downloaded through DM last night. Just ran through half dozen websites and so far clicking like a big dog! Hopefully this issue has been resolved. Browser seems quicker as well, but that may be my imagination.

Everything came back fine. BES registration happened automatically. I only have 107mb after battery pull (same as previous Verizon's official OS). Seems good regardless. I havent seen any battery issues, and I live in a spotty 2g/3g area so some previous OS's have drained faster than others.
From the text on the VZW support site, looks like it fixed a lot of the Push to Talk items which I have yet to use but did have a trackball and reception fix that I figured would be worth the upgrade.

Downloaded and installed on three 9630s this morning - my two (work and personal) plus my Mom's. Used Loader.
Seemed to be one of the easiest upgrades I've done. (All were on .662.)

Is there a version of this with Japanese input like Sprint's recent releases?

Not sure if this is related to the update or fluke but visited a friends house today and was searching for a network a few times. Which never happened before.
