People, I have a 9000 running the latest version of 5.x but the same happened now and then on 4.6 too.

Every now and then the "back arrow" or Escape key gets to need a hard push and held down to get it to respond. This is definitely NOT a hardware issue as it happens at indeterminate times and I can't work out how to get rid of it or what triggers it.
Rogers support suggested going back to a base OS with no applications and that worked (on 4.6).
But recently (on V5) I have not installed anything for 3 - 4 days and it JUST went wrong now, not even after a battery pull it just occurred.

Does anyone have any similar experiences because as I am not sure what to do now....

I would not be so quick to dismiss a hardware failure. The intermittent nature of the issue is more indicative of hardware than of a logic bug. That said, I speak from decades of hardware experience and an exceedingly aprioristic grasp of software and firmware, so I might have a bias.

It's just gotten better after I did a backup using desktop manager. Know that makes NO sense but I swear that just happened.

Any ideas anyone ?
