Default Password and E-mail Composition

Several users are reporting that when composing and e-mail or do ingsome other activity on their BB it asks them for their password in like mid-sentence or something. Does anybody have any idea why this occurs?

There is somewhere in the IT Policy where you can have the device randomly prompt to enter their device password. Could you have that enabled?

I haven't tested this policy item out personally, but it seems to be doing as you describe.

Check under Device-Only Items -> Enable long term timeout

Here is the description:

Specify whether the BlackBerry device locks after a predefined period of time, regardless of whether the BlackBerry device has been idle or in use during that interval.

Set this rule to True to force the BlackBerry device to lock automatically after 60 minutes.

Note: You can use the Periodic Challenge Time rule to shorten the timeout interval.
