Default SMS folders

Please Login to Remove!

I am planning to buy a blackberry because of its email and bbm capabilities. i tried and played around with some blackberry units of my friends and notices that the SMS folder is very different from a nokia phone. First and foremost i noticed that it does not have different folders such as- sent items, folders where you can save important SMS messages, and the most important- a folder where you can create SMS templates...

is there anyway for me to be able to do this on a blackberry 9700?

i have been a nokia user all my life, but a lot of my friends have been telling me to switch to a blackberry because it is more for business use. once i get the answer to these quiestions i can now think of gettign one...

nope.
The 9700 has conversation "threaded" style sms, so will show sms's sent within that conversation.
There is a saved messages folder.
And no, no sms templates.

actually, yes you can view those folders. first open up the "messages" folder. then hit the menu key, and select "view folder" it will then give you a list of all the folders. and you can actually save text messages to your SD card!!

it looks like only emails can be saved to your saved folder. not sms. but like i said before, you can actually save a sms as a text document on your SD card or the phones memory
