Default Emailing appointments

Please Login to Remove!

For the love of God!!

Can one of you Blackberry programming gurus PLEASE come up with a way to email appointments to the blackberry calendar?

I have finally managed to train my dispatcher to create appointments in MSOutlook2003 and send invites out to the appropriate people. The thing is I'd love to be able to get the notification email and just make it an appointment without having to cable-sync my BB as I am usually on the road all day long.

Is there already a way to do this? If there is then please slap me with a fish and push me in that direction.

Oh and before you say "Just use a BES server". We're not in the market to pay thousands of dollars for a BES at the moment for two blackberries.

Cheers!

Well without a BES you cannot do it. Its the BES that actually interfaces with MS Exchange for calendar updates/syncs. Have you looked into a hosted BES service like mailstreet.com ??

No no. I think you miss my point.
I want to be able to take an email I've received and transfer it to my calendar. Set date/time for the appointment and carry on. Also it would be great to be able to email appointments FROM the bb calendar.
On the bberry.

Yes that is possible - Maybe if I get some time I will take a closer look into it.

Possibly allow for Calendar interchange between BlackBerrys?

Sounds like a useful addon.

I agree, it is possible. But its not part of the OS 4.1 firmware. It would require a 3rd party application.
