Hi there,

I need some help with setting up email for my bold 2. I am on Vodafone network with bb service but the only option shown on my email setup is enterprise account.

I previous own another bold 2 ( lost) and I had no problem setting it up. It automatically detect my email set up from my sim card but this time round ( new phone )it does not detect anything. Is there any settings that I need to change in order to set up my email ?? Your help is greatly appreciated thank you.

Login to your BIS and use the "change device" option to enter your new Bold's PIN and IMEI.

hey i got same problem. what s BIS?? tried to uninstall and re install to no avail. please help?

this is a new phone. not owned a BB before

BIS = BlackBerry Internet Service, which is what you'd be using to set up a personal email account.

Most likely, you need to add a BlackBerry-specific data plan to your account.

yes. Tried that and been told by my network providor(virgin) This is NOT possible as you have a sim only deal. Virgin do NOT offer BB data services with sim only deal.
So unless i take out a NEW 18 or 24 mth contract which includes a BB I am stuffed.
Do any other network offer BB data service on a sim only deal?

Yes, t-mobile, o2, and Orange offer on PAYG
