Question 8300 Os

Please Login to Remove!

What is the newest OS for the 8300? It looks like v4.5.0.312 might be the newest compatible version. Has anyone seen v5 for the 8300?

That seems to be the latest official version. Version 5 if exists may be in our beta section

I checked on another forum and someone had the same question about a 8310. A poster there mentioned that OS v.5 was very slow on the 8310 so I imagine it would be worse on an 8300. I guess I'll stick w/ v.4.x for now and have to wait 'till I can upgrade my device.

I have read the same things you have. Will you be getting a new device at some point?

Eventually. My 8300 stopped working after I spilled a glass of water on it but it has started working again. I like the features of the new Tourch 9800 but that may hae to wait until they get all the bugs out and get a little cheaper.
