Okay, I'm with Verizon. I want a torch. I've read that Virgin is going to introduce the Torch to their line-up. If I understand correctly, Virgin is a CDMA technology. Can I buy one through Virgin and activiate it on Verizon without giving up any of the obvious goodies?

Verizon doesn't activate Devices from other networks.
Where did you read that Virgin was offering the Torch?

Last I heard, Verizon will not activate unless it's their phone.

The Verizon website has the functionality for users to switch (activate) another phone. I've done it several times between my Storm and my Tour.
