Default Calendar entries deleted (again) --further info

Please Login to Remove!

I know that there has been a lot of discussion around this, but I think that my experience can contribute here.

I primarily want to reach BB staff to emphasize the need to look at this/change what they can.

I'm using the 8520.

My calendar entries are deleted (it seems like 90 days back, it may be random). They're not gone completely, as some older entries are intact.

-This is not after a sync
-I have the Save set to Forever (which I know can be a lot of entries, but see below):
- My text and email are set to 15 days and they have never (including with my previous BB model) deleted automatically at all.
- I have Plenty of free memory, like 7 gig.

I don't use Outlook, but I do have a backup there for this purpose. Problem is, I haven't backed up for a while, and this is going to continue to happen. I spoke with a rep when I had my previous model and he said that they were aware of this issue and were fixing it with the new model, so I assumed it was. :(

I'm asking BB staff to focus on getting the settings to do as they're selected and Prompt before deleting calendar entries or find some other way to swap. I have just set my Email Reconciliation to Prompt before deleting because a post mentioned that that may affect calendar (which is not intuitive, but...). We'll see.

I have implemented all the other memory saving tactics though again, I have plenty of free memory and it still deletes with no warning.

Thanks!

Welcome to the Forums.
You do realize this is not a forum run by RIM. The people here are all volunteering to assist people with various issues they have with Blackberrys. You did not mention if your BB is a corporate BB or one running on a BIS. If it is a corporate BB, the IT staff is the best group to discuss these issues. Many restrictions and options are controlled by the administrators via a application on the BB called IT policy.

I'm not on a corporate BB.

To add to the previous, I noticed today that there are calendar entries deleted even from this month. No sign yet of prompts to delete after changing my Email to delete before prompt as per another post on this topic.
