My full charged blackberry randomly turned itself off yesterday and i just can't get it to work.

I tried taking the battery out, and even left it on charge over night.
But when i connect the charger, it doesn't register, same when i plug it into my laptop.
If i try turn it on, sometimes, the red light comes on briefly, but that it is.

I tried following a thread on here that said to download that JL_CMDER thing.
But just my luck, it won't do it properly.

I use my BB for work and school. So any help is very appreciated.
It was a gift so i also have no receipts etc to take it to the shop for free :(

Does desktop manager recognize your BB when you connect to your computer?
If yes, than reload the recommended OS for your phone.
If NOT, than you need to have service inspect your phone.

It would really help to know the model number.

If the Blackberry does show a white screen or a red light and is not turning on - make sure you tried charging the phone for a complete 12 hrs and download the latest software for the phone onto your computer. Once the phone is plugged into the computer, the Blackberry Desktop Software should recognize the device and prompt to install the latest software onto the device. Once the latest software is loaded - the phone should power up correctly. If that doesn't work you may want to check it with a different battery.
