I need to help installing OS5 on my 9000.....
Please Login to Remove!
I tried installing but I can't do it. Can somebody please give me STEP BY STEP instructions on installing OS5 for my 9000? Specific details if possbile, thanks.

I've done this and still nothing, I don't get the "vendor.xml" part, I can't ever find it.

Are you running a 64bit version of windows? If so it will be in the same place it mentions, with one difference: Program Files (x86)

Yes, but is it 32bit windows or 64bit windows? If the latter, then the place in the instructions it tells you to look, needs to be changed to what I said above.

So if I have a 64 bit, just follow the exact instruction? It's weird cuz I installed the latest OS when I used to have the 9700 with no problem, now it's a problem with this one.

look in c:\program files (x86)\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete Vendor.XML from there.

Click on the Start icon in the lower left hand corner of Windows 7, then select Computer
Select the C (Local) drive and navigate your way down.
Do you have much PC experience?

Wow you even have the link to it lmao, dude your a stalker. And I am actuallly pretty advanced with PC cuz like I said i installed the latest os for the 9700 with no problem but it's giving me problems with this 9000.

C:\ is your hard drive, it may not be named C.
You access it from the "my computer" icon.
Once you double click the hard drive icon, you are presented with files. one of which is called program files. [or program files (x86)]
Double click program files (or if the (x86) one is there, click that instead).
Then continue with the same file name path as described in the installation thread.
