Just purchased Torch and suddenly a stylized cap letter "D" appeared at the upper right of Home Screen to the left of "3G". Also appears at top center of "ALL" tray. When clicked on, Calendar appears. Within 5-10 mins later the "D" changed to "D45" then to "D47". Pulled battery and rebooted. "D47" not there; but "D" has now reappeared. Any one know what this is all about? Much obliged for any clue.

Based on the RIM information on status indicators, the D is not normal. Did you add a third party theme? any applications?
As suggested by Sytner, a screen shot would help.
