Hi, I am a new BB user [6 days]. I just purchased a new desktop computer with windows 7. I have installed the disc from the bb but it will not recognize my bb when I connect it.
Have reinstalled it with newest downloads, reinstalled the battery in BB, all to no avail. I have limited understanding of both the computer and my bb. My main goal is to sync my contact list from outlook 2010 to my bb. Can anyone help me?

Download the latest DM from RIM

BlackBerry - Support & Services go to downloads. its free

also make sure your not on a HUB USB port, try a different port
