Right I have a customer who is doing a BES Express install. The problem is he has a hosted Exchange in Ireland. To get their emails they do a remote desktop session on to that domain to get their email. So it would make sense to do the install on that server in Ireland for their BB's. However, how would they provision the BB's using the wire if it is installed in Ireland.

The other alternative would be if they installed it on a local server but that would mean that they wont have access to the system manager.

I'm really confused as to what is best to advise. Any clues?

BES needs to installed as "close" to the Exchange server as possible.
Since it requires a MAPI connection to Exchange, installing on a local server isn't even an option for you.

In your case, you'd need to install BES Express on the Exchange server, or at least on the same network as the Exchange server.
I'd also suggest provisioning the Enterprise BlackBerry Data Plan on your handhelds so you can do wireless Enterprise Activations.
Obviously you couldn't do a wired activation.

I have delved more with the company that hosts the exchange in Ireland. They refuse to do the install on there servers...So as the local server is on a different domain with no mapi access to the exchange...My guessing is its a no go even more so as the customer is unwilling to pay for a BES connection.

I am in Zimbabwe, I do have a blackberry curve 8520. I wish to set up emails, receive emails and send emails.

In fact I wish to use all blackberry applications. Please help me! I am using Econet as service provider.

First thing to do is get the Data added for blackberry on to your number. You will need to call your service provider to have that added on. Once you have added that on then you can go to "set up" "Email accounts" and set your email up that way. You can get the applications straight from the app store.
