Havent needed to post on the forums until now, as I've been able to find all the answers I've needed and have gotten everything working the way it should. Until now...
I often need to deliver presentations, and used to be able to use my old Sony Ericcson as a remote control for my laptop - it was a standard feature which allowed me to connect via bluetooth and manipulate my way through a powerpoint presentation, control the mouse, etc.
I haven't managed to find anything on the 9700 that allows me to do this, but I cant believe that the functionality isnt there, or at least that there isn't an app that will let me do it. It doesnt suit me to use the presenter that runs the presentation directly from the 9700.
We've just added presentation control features to the Tazzle IT. It's a tiny Bluetooth enabled-device for PC that lets you control presentations with your BlackBerry. Works on any Win PC running the Tazzle companion software. It may be helpful to you for direct wireless printing, viewing, and transferring email content, photos and files from your Bold, as well. After poking around all afternoon on AppWorld, I finally managed to find something that does exactly what I want.
Its not free, but it allows me to control the mouse and so on on the laptop with a minimum of fuss - not the simplest of installs, with clients for both the phone and the pc, then a small bit of config to the pc's bluetooth setup, and then you're away!
