Just got the Curve 8520; should I put the lates OS on? I've printed off the instructions from above but am a bit worried incase I do it wrong. I think its worth updating though, from what people are saying, re battery life.

Hi. I have a 9520 on MTN here in South Africa. I have tried several firmware updates and no matter what I try I only seem to be able to get the phone to load the 'official' MTN OS. I've tried wiping the phone first both with JL_cmdr and BBSAK. I've deleted the vendor XML file, tried doing the upgrade with and without BBSAK. I've even tried removing DM and reinstalling. Does anybody have any other suggestions?
