Hello

I am trying to use a GoPhone sim card inside a Blackberry Curve 8320 smartphone and to no avail. Nothing will work. I have a data package and I am on the $2/day plan. I've searched online and only found 2 possible solutions.

1.) Unlock my GoPhone Sim card.
I first looked at this, and I've googled and googled and found no way to do this except to go to an AT&T store, which the nearest store is over 50 miles away.

2.) Unlock my Blackberry Curve 8320
If this solution is LEGAL (I don't know if it is or not), I got to the point where I needed a MEP code. Can someone, if legal, give me the code?

First of all, it is perfectly legal to unlock your BlackBerry.

Second, you will need to contact an unlocking service if you do not have a good standing with AT&T, which owns GoPhone, however, if you do, call AT&T and tell them you wish to unlock your Berry for use overseas, or so that you can have the option to sell it to someone in another country. They should immediatly help you unlock it.

It also sounds as if you hardware may be starting to give up, or you did not perform a complete wipe before reloading the OS. Use BBSAK (Blackberry Swiss Army Knife) to perform a complete wipe, if it does not cure your ills, it may be time for a new Berry.

No, the blackberry won't accept the sim, it works with other sim cards, just not this one.

You probably need to unlock the BB.

As said above by adperdue, call the carrier and see if they will get it for you, otherwise you need to buy one.
