Blackberry Bridge problems out of the box (numeric passkey)

I finally upgraded my blackberry 9000 to version 5.0.
I connected my playbook with the WIFI.
I probably entered a barrage of passwords as i sent, stupidly not writing all of them down.
In particular, as I'm bridging, I tried the barcode scanning feature. No luck. I've no clue why but the scan totally doesn't work. Looking over these forums, apparently, this is normal. It sounds like that feature often does work.
So, I'm doing "manual pairing".
This asks for a "numeric key". So, I enter, following some other suggestions 0000 without luck. Try 1111 and then on the playbook
it shows a blank message saying "enter this number on your blackberry".
Is there a way to reset this passkey?
The devices are clearly talking; i.e., each device indicates it knows about the other.
Out of curiousity, has anybody gotten the barcode scan to actually work on the 9000.
Quite frankly, this process is frustrating. I mean, I should be able to synch the number on both devices. It should not take a rocket scientist to do this.
Re: Blackberry Bridge problems out of the box (numeric passkey)
The passkey is generated whenever you try to pair for the first time. You do not need to reset, but you will need to delete both pairings or connections, both on the 9000 and the Playbook. Then try a manual pair again.
The barcode scanner works pretty well, even my 9900 and it''s crappy camera scanned no problems.

How can I delete the connections? I can't find any settings menu on the playbook to do that.
I followed the instructions for the bar code thing. I aimed the blackberry camera at the playbook's barcode with no luck. It completely doesn't work for me and several other people have claimed to have problems using the barcode. I've no idea whether this is because they scanned the barcode incorrectly or because they had a bad version of the OS 5 software.

Look forward to trying.
I have to admit, I'm not crazy about the touch screen so far;
when I go to browse and try to display the keyboard,
it pops up a huge square on the right hand side and the keyboard is so large that I can't
see all the keys.
Seems like its very buggy. This is a pity because the resolution on the screen is
probably best in market. It looks like the hardware is totally awesome.
