I recently bought a 9800 but its saying in-built memory is 32MB, why because its supposed to me 4GB

Where did you find those specifications? Here is what I'm seeing on the RIM website.

if l click media, then options and memory use, its showing me total of 32MB Device Memory

That is how much application starage you have left, not total storage on the device.

View the amount of available storage space on your device
1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2. Click Device > Storage.

If I do that its showing application memory: free space : 146.1MB (plus the details of media card). So where is the rest from 4GB of in-built memory, please help.
