I cannot get the 9930 and my new Windows 7 OS to communicate. It seems to be a driver issue on the laptop. I can get the phone to recognize the computer and do some validation that the modem is communicating through some diagnostics, but the driver install error is the problem.

I can hard tether and I have the data plan. Had no issues prior to the OS upgrade on the same laptop.

Is there a driver out there that works, or do I have another issue?

i have heard that the vendor BT drivers wont work and you need the microsoft one instead for windows

Did you install desktop manager?

Windows BT is a huge PITA...the shit one has to go through to get BT working on some machines under Windows is insane...and at that, it's unreliable at best on many machines. If your tethering plan includes Mobile Hotspot...that is going it be your easiest and fastest way -

Works fine with Microsoft's Bluetooth stack. Not so much with alternate stacks.
