Default Secure Passcode Storage

Please Login to Remove!

I have a need for secure passcode storage while traveling. Considering Permissions granted for my Samsung Android machine I'm thinking of buying a Blackberry but not connecting it to a carrier. My older Blackberries would reset to factory after a given number of failed passcode tries.

New Blackberries still do the same thing?

Another better solution?

Oh, why ask the question here? You folks are probably the most security minded I know.

All BB's will provide the level of security you want. Just be sure to set a password you will remember and will be hard to get if you lost the phone. Also if your looking for a very good password keeper, The one on the BB is very good and if you want one for a PC I would use "Password Keeper". Not as secure as a BB but very good in most cases.
It's free and I use it for all corporate needs. There may be others but I'm unsure of the level offered. Also I would NOT use any cloud storage for any passwords. Bad move regardless of how many people think it is wonderful. Sometimes too easy is not good.

Default Re: Secure Passcode Storage

Pretty nervous about a Cloud solution. Two reasons. First, I need the information when internet is not available. Second, non-owned storage has a poor security reputation.

An app called Password Keeper is available for Android. It seems to be popular and was preinstalled on my Samsung. But, it appears storage is exclusively on their servers. Have to do more research to see if that is, in fact, true. Also, if there is a copy of the encrypted file left in my device. And, if the original unencrypted source file is adequately destroyed. With all the permissions various applications seem to require I get pretty conservative about what is stored on the device.

Actually, for a PC, there really isn't any need for a special password application if the hard drive is adequately encrypted.
