Default Autotext

Please Login to Remove!

Where can I found a complete list of autotext % codes? Is there a shortcut for my email address, signature, etc?

Also, my autotext is 220 entries and is it possible for people to post their autotext files and we could merge them if we wanted?

Thanks

br = left bracket
ld = long date (DayName, MonthName DayNumber, YearNumber)
lt = long time (HH:MM:SS AM/PM)
mynumber = your Blackberry phone number
mypin = your Blackberry PIN number
myver = Blackberry Model Number/OS Version Number
rb = right bracket
sig = the address information from Owner setting in Options
usrid = the name information from Owner setting in Options

You can setup any auto text entries you want, and they can be as long as you want. I have multiple multi line signature blocks set as aaa, bbb, ccc, etc.

I also like to abbreviate aa to be "&" and zz to be "$", as I use these symbols often.

The Nextel phones have a couple that only work for them -- I'll let a Nextel user post these

You can use Backup/Restore in the dektop manager to handle data-bases of information, including, I believe, the auto text entries. You might be able to switch directories in their entirety using this method. I don't think you can edit or merge directories, though.

So, bottom line, if you have cool suggestions, or useful ones, make them here...we can all manage a bit of typing if the entry makes sense

Default Autotext Disappeared

My autotext file seems to have disappeared. When I look at it now, I only have 15 words (those I recently typed). Is there anyway to reload a full autotext file?

mydcid = Direct Connect number

That's the only one specific to Nextel that I can think of....

Your $ sign should be directly to the right of the m.

I love the AutoText, it makes life so much easier.

Some of my favorite AutoText creations (that would actually make sense to someone outside of work)

bb = Blackberry (Specified case)
bc = because
callme = "Please call me on my cell phone at (my number here)"
dev = develop
devel = development
dx = diagnosis
fup = follow up
gol = Go Live (Specified case)
hx = history
idk = I don't know
lmk = let me know
mtg = meeting
nmo = next month
nvm = nevermind
nwk = next week
nyr = next year
pageme = please page me with a number to reach you at
pls = please
pt = patient

also:
mynumber = will display your number
mypin = will display your Blackberry PIN
myver = displays your Blackberry model number and OS version
