I think a lot of people are waiting for the EvDO upgrade on these units. From my understanding it will be similar to the Bell setup where it require a visit to the dealer.

Aside from the fact that I get the cool 1XEV on my bb and internet browsing is faster. Is it even worth the time and effort? My internet speed is fine when i use Berry411

I think the biggest benefit would be if you use the BB to tether to a laptop. You would have fast access for internet and VPN access (if your business supports that) for anywhere you have EvDO access.

I have the software installed but still no EVDO. My friend has the Moto Q and is using EVDO here but my 7250 still says 1X.

Any ideas?

If you are a Telus user it is a combination of the PRL update and then a trip to an approved dealer to do the flash upgrade. I think the flash upgrade does the PRL update at the same time, saving you one step.

Thanks,
