Default BlackBerry Instant Messaging FAQ - Better than 7100 builtin

Please Login to Remove!

There are now third party software that keeps you logged onto all networks AIM/ICQ/MSN/Yahoo simultaneously. Messages are delivered faster (Usually less than 1 second). You can finally hit Enter to transmit messages. You can even multitask multiple conversations. Can be run in the background 24/7 in an always-on mode. A Trillian-style program for BlackBerry.

Note: T-Mobile, it's a little bit difficult to run Verichat, sometimes at least until next month when they fix their port-blocking problem. A workaround is to pay $10-$25 extra per month for MDS. (See the FAQ for more info.)

Not a fact. It is a rumor from two different sources, based on some people successfully going all the way to some BlackBerry-experienced engineer within T-Mobile.

Plus, T-Mobile published documentation and instructions on how to use their BlackBerry as a modem for a laptop. This provides another suggestion that this will eventually become a reality.

Hopefully this will be true -- at least eventually.
