Has anyone noticed that if I dismiss an appointment on my blackberry, it does not dismiss on my desktop. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Assuming you are talking about dismissing an appointment reminder, then no. You are not missing anything. The reminder's status does not appear to be part of the sync operation. This also happens with Intellisync for Yahoo!
