There is an icon that is right under the signal bars that looks like a radio kinda like this

on the same blue bar that says NEXTEL when I am connected to Nextel. I know this is NOT the bluetooth icon (becuase I can see that with my new bluetooth earpiece.

Is this related to the NEXTEL connection?

That's the GPS indicator, I believe. Standard issue on GPS-equipped phones in the U.S.
