Default Bluetooth ringtone transfer from Motorola Razr V3

Please Login to Remove!

My sister and brother-in-law can make custom ringtones from .mp3 files for their Razor V3 and then they can send these files to each other's Razor through a bluetooth connection. I was wondering if there is anyway that these ringtones can be sent to my 8700 through a bluetooth connection too?

My 8700 recognizes and establishes a bluetooth connection with their Razor, just can't transfer anything, there's no option in the RIM software for such. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

You can not transfer any ringtones (or any other data) to the 8700 via Bluetooth. Perhaps in the future.

Maybe, but since it runs OS v4.1 (and not 4.2 or anything newer) I doubt it.

last i heard 4.2 is supposed to have obex enabled on it.

if you want to have ur own personal ringtones, upload them to the internet via some file server (i use comcast) and download them directly to your berry.

This is true - you can beam stuff around between 4.2 devices (8100 for now). But.. The 8703 at question does not have 4.2 on it. At least the ones out now from Verizon do not have 4.2 on them.
