I'm guessing since rogers doesn't have this upgrade it's a test that they're doing pre-release and they haven't tested it. I strongly advise not doing the upgrade.

Anyone know how to downgrade back to the t-Mobile supplied version without completely losing everything?
There seem to be some fixes and some additional bugs. I would suspect for some it may be worse to miss calls, as with the original OS bug, than to live with some of the new bugs.

I'm sure that a new OS will be released, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if at least two weren't out in the next 4 - 5 weeks. Nothing but experience to back this up.

Not being able to place calls was NOT a BUG in the old version.... that's like saying it's a bug if a refridgerator isn't cold. No, it would be a deffective unit. If it were a bug it would be standard occuring across the board with all users when performing the same task. The new version is FAR worse than the old one when comparing bugs. The main bugs in the old one was the ringer silence when rolling the ball, and the delay when answering. This one replaces the ball rolling (which frankly never bothered me) ringer issue, with the light staying on constant when you decline a call, and the 3-4 second delay now has been replaced with not being able to see bb messenger messages in the Messages Screen in the zen theme... lame lame lame.

I stand by my previous comment that I don't believe this upgrade was ever meant to touch the public.

UPDATE: IT DOES NOT FIX THE 3-4 SECOND ISSUE WHEN RECEIVING A CALL. THIS UPDATE IS COMPLETELY BOGUS! DONT DO IT!!!

i think imma go back to the previous version because the backgrounnd light sensor is on all the time... i like it on 100 always not dimmed...
as far as the trackball moving around when answering the call, i usually keep it in the holster and i dont encounter that problem at all.

I don't have that bug anymore so I wouldn't say it's bogus.

I erased that my fave icons folder. Didn't see the need to keep it.

In BB messenger go to options and where it says show conversations in Message List make sure it says yes. See if that keeps your convos in the main message window.

I also noticed there's a folder where the main factory wallpapers are that have cartoon pics you can use for visual caller ID.

wow, i read this entire thread. I for one will not be installing it (even though I DLed it durring the reading of this thread). I'll wait for all the bugs to be worked out. Seems to be not worth it just to fix the track ball problem, and thats only if your phone is locked.

I don't buy it. I tried on several devices and the 3-4 second audio lag STILL exists. Confirmed with several others as well.

For the annoying light bug to becomd evident you have to turn the signal indicator light ON and when a call comes in if you decline it the green light comes on and stays on...lame

I just downgraded to the TMO version.
