I dot alot of T1/DSL installs and sometimes need to ping the IP for the router i just installed, is there anything for the blackberry that would allow this? something simple, put in IP Address and ping..

Yes, get MIDPSSH (free) (MidpSSH | SSH and Telnet client for Mobile devices (MIDP/J2ME)) and SSH into a Unix box that you use. You can then set up macros to do pings, etc..

i need something straight from the blackberry, has to be something, they have something for the palm.

use MIDPSSH like someone suggested and get a shell at SDF. sdf.lonestarDOTorg (or freeshellDOTorg - same place) and use that. A unix shell has all kinds of nice networking features and uses
