overall, besides PTT, and a camera this has got to be the sweetest BB to date. it no longer felt like i was holding a small pc to my ear, instead it reminded me of the older tiny nokia's with no ant (forgot the model).

if we still have them here, i'll try to track them down and take some pics for you guys.

Damn i can't wait for the Sprint 8703e!!! Monday Oct 1st will be my day to upgrade!

Sweet!! Thanks White. More pictures the better. How sure are we on the October 1st date? What is going to be the price? Sprints network is going to be so hot on this BB. I bet it screams. Looking good...looking good.

I figured it was there, just couldn't remember where it was. Thanks.

Ok then, besides PTT (which I can live without) this BB rocks.

They've realeased the presskit for the Oct1st release on rim and sprint site. Do a search for it on the 8700 or rumor forums.

Still don't see them online, but I called and ordered 2. They will not overnight ship. Also asked for my contact number in case there were any issues. So looks like Wed-Thurs before I have it in my hand. Went by 2 stores first today, and - surprise, surprise - nothing. One idiot didn't even know what I was talking about.

I went to the Sprint store and asked about it. I was told by the rep that the 8703e was just speculation. I told her that it was officially released by Sprint but she insisted that was just a rumor. This was on September 30.

Yes, moron for sure. At least the guy at a different store seemed to have some recognition of the term "8703", or "the bigger one" as he called it as he pointed to the 7130. The lady on the phone for sales had not heard of it either (she'd been out for a couple days) but was able to check her sheets and found it. I went back and read the press release and it did say they'd be available in stores, but I guess the key is "starting today."
