Default Receiving email that you send, by default (avoidable?)

Please Login to Remove!

First off, hello! (New to the forum). Former SK2 and Treo 650 user and stoked with the new Pearl!

Question: I was wondering if there was any way (prefs or set-up) to disable receiving copies of messages sent. This happens to me with both Gmail and BBMail - strange and somewhat time (and battery) consuming.

Thanks in advance!

Are you seeing messages with a check next to them? Or are you actually receiving a new copy of the message whenever you send?

If its the first one you can go messages-->options--> General Options: and set hide sent messages to yes. Once you save that, the sent messages with a Check will disappear.

I forget how to fix the other problem, but ill research it for a bit and let ya know.

I am having same problem as above. I have my sent emails hidden out of view. My problem just started two days ago. Nothing changed. When a gmail email comes in and if I do a reply to a friend I get the exact same copy of the email I sent just like if I would have cc'd it myself? WTF??? I had this blackberry for two weeks and it has never done this. This is very annoying. I am sending out a bunch of replies and keep getting the same crap I wrote to myself within seconds. And I can no longer sync with gmail. It used to delete my gmail emails within a minute or less if I did delete from handheld and email. Now it doesnt do crap. It doesnt even show if the mail has been read. Still shows an unopened icon.

My regular pop3 email from my own personal domain website isnt doing this.

this is a known issue w/ Gmail sending you back a copy of the email you just sent

sign into your BIS account and set up a filter to not forward email that is sent from your Gmail address to your handheld to stop this

also, read/unread status for Gmail is not yet an option - Gmail saves sent items and does wireless deletes

Default Still happening...

Found the BIS page, but am having trouble accessing the settings to create a filter...

BIS page is the Blackberry Internet Service page, found via "Set up internet email" in your menu...

Thanks again!

SIGN ON TO YOUR T-MOBILE ACCOUNT PAGE. Click blackberry email set up THAT IS YOUR BIS page. From there you can click on filters and set the right filters that you need to stop your problem from happening.

Forgive me all, but I am not finding options to create filter(s) anywhere listed.

Please help. Sign on to your T-Mo account page from my pearl, not a browser, right?

By the way, PocketMac 4 is all good so far...

THANKS!

i logged on from my computer to the tmobile site. Got onto the BIS site and found the filter settings. Would someone please post how to setup the filters? The previous post are hard to understand.

The three boxes I have to use to setup the filter are:

filter name:
apply filter when:
foward messages to handheld or do not foward messages to handheld

Thanks in advance

Sign in on a browser. Easier to see and setup.
