hello,
i loaded a ringtone which is in .mp4 format and is 114 Kb in size. the location where i saved is /home/user/ringtones

somehow, when i try to assign customize ringtone to any caller, the time when i am browsing for ringtone, i am not able to see mine. the folder shows empty.

i have saved the ringtone in my device memory.

is the size or format of ringtone a matter ? some of the ringtones are like 200 kb in size.

I'd guess the format... try converting it to mp3.. the size shouldn't be an issue, i think i've got a few that are 300k on mine and work as ringtones

i tried it with mp3 as well. but still when i browse to that particular folder (/home/user/ringtones), it still shows me empty.

but yesterday i saw that i can set up any .mp3 ringtone as my default ringtone for the phone (irrespective of the size), but somehow its not possible to set it to an individual.

do you think i should try using rogers release rather than t-mobile ..?

don't save it in your "ringtone" folder, just save it in your "music" folder and right click to assign as ringtone.
