Default Using BES does browser traffic flow through...?

Please Login to Remove!

Folks,
I have a BB 8703e and hooked into my corporate email via BES. I had a question regarding the blackberry web browser. Does the web browser traffic flow through the BES server or directly between my handheld, my carrier and the website I'm browsing?

I believe the BB messenger traffic goes through the BES server but I am unsure about web traffic.

Thanks

Yes it does. Proxy and Firewall Rules will apply.
Just make sure you use the browser labeled 'Blackberry Browser' and not the carrier Browser eg. vlive in the case of Vodafone.

that blows...is there anyway to setup the phone so only my corp email comes through BES and not my web browsing?

edit:
Just did some reasearching, if I use Blackberry Browser then all my data flows through BES server so I can access corp websites

If I use Internet Browser then data should not flow through BES.

Correct?

The Blackberry Browser can be used for Corp Browsing as well as Std issue web Browsing. Using the Blackberry Browser does not incur Data Costs as it goes via the Corp Network. Using the Internet Browser however may incur costs depending on carrier and Data Plans.

Is there a particular reason why you want go via the Internet Browser and not the Blackberry Browser?

I have the sprint $40 unlimited data plan, will I still be charged if I use the Internet Browser instead of Blackberry Browser? I would like to use the Internet Browser for when I am at home and may want to access websites that corp policy may not agree with.
