Default Does most software use MDS?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am planning on getting a BES blackberry. The main reason being I think I won't get charged for international data over BES that I might using BIS.

My question is do lots of the apps coming out use normal TCP/IP transmission or do they still use MDS? I know there is a web browser that would be the main use and that can be either MDS or not, but also would want to use IM and SSH protocols.

So my basic question, do most apps coming out use MDS or not. If not, can they be *made* to use MDS?
