I am new to blackberry but have had very few issues adjusting to the pearl this past week.

The only thing I can't figure out is how to change the ringer for sms or mms messages. I searched here first but didn't find any answers. Any tips?

Also in my ringer profiles when i put it to loud it indicates that it is on loud on the speaker but only vibrates when someone calls- any suggestions for that- i read others here having problems with the ringers. fyi i did try putting it on vibrate to see if it would ring loud, just for shits and giggles...

menu/profile/advanced...Select the profile you are using and then change the settings for each type of alert.

Make sure the setting for "out of holster" is set to tone not vibrate.
