I just called Verizon to see if I could add my Moto E815 as a second line to my BB MaxChoice 4000 minute plan and was told that was not possible. Do I need to keep calling back until I get a different answer, or is this really the case?

While the BB 8703e is OK as a phone, I really miss the voice dial capability of the E815. I especially like being able to tap the button on my headset, say "call John Smith Mobile" and automatically be connected. Far more fumbling required on the BB, unless I've got a speed dial set up, and even that is harder than simply talking to the phone to tell it who to call . . .

I tried the same thing, and they told me no as well. I ended up having to start a new family plan instead of my max choice. It's a bit more expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

Just one. The 8700. Looking for the right software to get the "today screen" back from the Molibe PC days.

I think it's going to be quite a bit more expensive, since the unlimited data plan is only $20 on the 4K min. MaxChoice plan. That would go up, and there's an extra $10 for the second phone line. I might get away with a plan that has fewer minutes, but that will be close.

Keeping my fingers crossed that 4.2 has voice dial . . .

Only carry a Blackberry 8700c since November 2005 .... Slightly too big in my pocket, but it's only in my pocket on weekends when I'm out on the town ...

I commend you for being just a "borderline addict"!

Myself, well there's no hope, as I'm a full blown, out of warranty addict....

I travel a lot, and therefore much like one carries both business and casual clothes, I carry 3 phones so I have choice depending on what I'm doing. All on one line via the sim card swap.

During the week I use the 8700c. Business travel weekends I use the 7130c. Weekends when I want to totally disconnect it's the RAZR.

I must say that having had a number of motorola phones which were very poor, I was hestitant to try a RAZR. However I was drawn to the small and thin shape as I'm not a phone on the belt type of person.

Well I must have gotten lucky, as my RAZR is well made, nearly 2 years old and has the best call quality and reception of any phone I've had. And I have had far too many phones.

That said, my absolute favorite is the 7130c. I like absolutely everything about this model. I would highly suggest it to anyone that does not want a full sized BlackBerry.

I have the new VZW casio g'zone phone as my regular cell phone and a BB 8700g for data only. I carry the BB on my belt but pocket the cell cause I'd hate to be seen wearing 2 on the belt!

I'm doing just fine using my 8700g as both a phone and for BB data functions. Its not quite as quick to call someone as my last cel phone was, but its really like 1-2 seconds longer to pull up a name, not a big deal at all.

talk-time is great, signal is strong and clarity is good and its not too bulky to use as a phone. I had a v70 for years which I loved, it was small, good signal and bulletproof, but I really don't miss anything from having a dedicated 'phone'.

Well i like having a dedicated phone and data device so thats why i carry a moto v3i and just went back to my 8700g because my pearl was giving me problems. I like to be able to talk on my v3i and look up information or send emails and not have to wait or try and remember when i get off the phone to do something. Also very helpful for those long convos wit the girlfriend when she is rambling because i can surf the net and let her get her time on the phone lol, but dont tell her that! Now if they ever come out wit a 3G blackberry were i can do everything at once while yacking on a bluetooth headset then i might consider going to one phone!

Count me in.

I have an LG VX8100 on Verizon for talking and an 8700g on TMO.

I used a BB on Nextel back when I had that service and I had a tough time looking up/adding/saving a contact or calendar event while talking on the phone.

I don't find it all that much bother to carry two devices. I love TMO pricing on the Blackberry, 29.95 unlimited (it goes down to 19.95 if I had a TMO calling plan).

I also have a girlfriend that feels I pay more attention to my Blackberry than I do her. I remind her of that when she's on the phone with her best friend and wastes airtime minutes with her jibberish/babble/senseless chatter. It all washes out in the end. When I remind her that my Blackberry doesn't whine, doesn't ask for drinks or dinner and can be shut off at the touch of a button she clams up.

Just one for me and thats my new 8700C issued by my company so no investment or bills on my behalf
But the best part is that I get unlimited personal calls/messages/emails for only $10.00 a month which saves me from categorizing business from personal each month

I used to carry both the 8700c and a Razr, but carrying 2 phones is cumbersome and oftentimes quite pointless to me. So now I just use the 8700c.

I've been using the bb alone since they allow voice/data....

now that I can use the sprint 8703e as a highspeed modem at no extra charge... I fwd calls to a lg lx350(works on analog frequencies in areas the blackberry has no service).. it's the best analog phone Sprint has to offer

until the phone can act as a modem and simultaneously handle the im/voice/email some of us will be stuck with 2 phones...
