Yes they do. I also did some research about insurance. It seems that you can only claim insurance TWICE in a 12 month span. And yes, after thinking about it. 110$ deductible is a bit much considering your paying an additional 5.99 a month. thats 71.88 a year, plus the 110 deductable. Drum roll please......grand total 181.88 a year for the Asurion Insurance. I read somewhere that the pearl actually COST somewhere around 40$ to produce each handset. (not sure if that is true or not).
So I'm going with a third party insurance company. SAFEWARE (www.safeware.com). Insurance on PEARL valued at 400$, is 48$ a year. NO DEDUCTABLE! That seems like a better deal to me. I am quite sure that the turnaround time would be alot longer than asurion however, seeing how Safeware is not a directly connected to a cell phone company. Waddaya think?

Try safeware for insurance, they were great with my Macbook Pro and any phone I've lost in the past, i cant link yet, but google them. A lot of people ad riders to thier existing homeowners insurance, but I'm a student and my parents see my gadget obsession as a red flag for thieves. Small premium (120USD)with high coverage(4000USD), I have my camera (Nikon s7c), laptop, Pearl, and Archos 604 covered by them in case of any theft or even my own idiotic damage. I was tickling my girlfriend and it resulted in her kicking my month old Macbook Pro off the bed and onto a wood floor. It busted wide open and bent the topcase, Apple said it would cost 600 for replace the parts with labor, I let my agent have a look at it, told him the truth and they replaced everything, including the HD and Superdrive at no cost to me.

I e-mailed them and they did not get back to me. So I'll ask you.

Do you buy a level of coverage and all one's electronics are insured or does one insure each item individually? I gathered from looking at the site that it is the former.

Also, I did not see cell phone coverage to get a quote, they only had PDA coverage. What's up with that? I did see that smartphones were listed in the things one could insure, but an actual quote was not available.

Let me know as I think their prices are way fair and I could not find any complaints about them.

Thanks

Default yo

I actually called them the other day and it does appear that you insure each item individually. I already have my powerbook G4 insured through them. (Cost of 90$ for a YEAR of coverage valued at $1500.00) The PDA/Smartphone coverage was quoted to me at 48$ for the year valued at 400$. I do not know yet if my recent insurance claim will affect the price i was quoted.

Be careful of the T-Mobile replacement - I've had at least one of my users get one that was defective, so I have a feeling they're refurbished devices (not new.)

Stolen! What a violation, they should be beaten with a very big stick. But at least you had the good sense to protect your self on all fronts.

Just out of curiosity, was yours black or white?
