Wirelessly posted (Thumpers 8700c: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

How did you install Bb Maps on the 8703e? I thought that was a 4.2 feature?

I just tried it and my BB said "unable to display gps lock", then it rebooted. It has never crashed and rebooted like that. Uh oh.

I tried it on mine ( Sprint ) and it's painfully slow and the GPS doesn't work.

Yes, very slow. I get a window opening on the bottom but nothing is in it.

Try Telenav or Wayfinder. I'm on the Pearl, so I'm not positive it's compatible for yours. I love telenav though.

Exactly what mine does.
A friend has telnav and it works great, but it's also $10 a month.

I will have to read up on it to see if I really need it. I don't think that I do, but if it is something I can't live without, then I'd pay for it.

Thanks.
