Default Blackberry Pearl Prepaid??

Please Login to Remove!

If I were to get a blackberry pearl from tmobile and got a prepaid sim is there anyway to get the data or internet service on my pearl. And if not ifI were to get it unlocked is there another carrier that offers the data, web , and email services for it on prepaid?

From what I understand there is no prepaid Blackberry Plans available from any carrier.

If you want data connectivity for email and wireless internet usage then you require a BlackBerry data plan and those are only available on post paid accounts not pre paid. On pre paid all you can do is make calls, send/receive text messages and use the Pearl as an organizer.

Nobody has any plans to add BlackBerry as a service to any 'Pay and Throw' line. Traditionally prepay is seen as a low spend and even low tech sector of the market by many carriers, not the type or pattern of usage one would expect to see from your vanilla BlackBerry customer.

Wirelessly posted (7130e: BlackBerry7130e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

If your looking for email and internet on prepaid you might want to consider getting a tmobile sidekick. That's the only pda like phone I can think of that offers prepaid service.

Why not get an unlimited BB plan? Then you dont have to worry about running out of "time or data" and if cost is the problem go for a limited plan and watch the calls and data used. Either way from what I've seen even if you added a BB plan to a prepay plan ( even if you could ) you would be up to the cost of most BB plans anyway

Unfortunately Blackberries require dedicated Blackberry Data Plans so the generic data plan offered on a prepay basis won't help.
