Question BBConvert.exe

Please Login to Remove!

I did a search for posts concerning this process and came up with one that asked if 4 instances of this thing running was normal. The answer was yes, that's the default.

My next question then is: is it normal for a couple of these instances to be chewing up 161MB/280MB of memory while the other 2 are using ~3MB each? I literally watched one instance rocket up from about 140 to 280 in just a few minutes.

A few hours earlier I noted that all 4 where running at ~3MB. I rebooted this box yesterday.

BES 4.0 SP5a HF5 on Win2K3

TIA

Those are for the attachment service, so if one of your users requests and attachment the memory will go up.

Is it fair to say that if someone send a large enough attachment and a bunch of users went for it that 3MB of memory turns into 280? Is that memory reclaimed somehow?

TIA

Yeah once the attachment is converted the memory should drop
But yeah a whole bunch of users retrieving an attachment could kill your BES.
