Is there a way to make a shortcut or option to open SMS messages and e-mail messages seperate? I know I can open messages and go to the SMS inbox folder but it would be nice if there was a seperate icon on the home page to go into SMS and or E-mail. Or is there a way to make the message app stay in SMS Inbox even after you exit it?

It seems like one of the zen themes for the Pearl has a separate SMS folder. I can't remember which one. If you haven't already follow the instructions in this link to "unlock" all of the OEM carrier themes. I know it's not quite what you were looking for but it's all that's available.

The O2 white zen theme separates email and sms/mms messages. Unlocking is the only way to get it that I kno of.
