Hi,

I can't seem to get this working. I had it working at some point and then it just stopped. Now, instead of using the distinctive ring that I've specified for a caller it uses the general ring for the phone.

Has anyone experienced this? Any idea what's going on?

I was JUST about to make a thread about this.

I set an mp3 for my girlfriend (the mp3 plays fine with the music player) but when she calls it just plays the generic Cingular tone.

Please help!

Have u tried goin to sound profile then set acceptions... New acception and add the person on..also go to address book highlight name press menu edit menu again and add custom phone tune... Hope this helps

Neither it did for me. I've tried a different tune, removed the distinct call completely and then added it again, all to no avail. :(

An update...

My wife decide the phone needed female intervention. So, this morning she repeated what I did by deleting the distinctive call, saving and backing all the way out to the main menu (no sure if this was necessary) and then went back and redefined the caller ring. We have a winner. It worked.

Not sure why she did different but it's working and that's what matter.
