The carrier you bought it from won't care because you are not on their network and Rogers won't care because it's not one of their device.

RIM Warranties the device. As far as I know, when your BB goes down, you contact RIM, they do troubleshooting with you, and if they can't get it up and running, they send you a new one within like 5 days (usually 3). Then when you recieve it, you ship your device back to them.
