noname, I'm running the latest. I also ran Boxtone's with the same result so hopefully it's pulling bad data. I've now checked several handhelds that are not showing patched in the query and they are showing patched on the device. T-minus 7 hours.

I sat here waiting for an hour on my test unit to update so I could deploy it to my users. Little did I know that when it says "Install Required" in BES I need to turn the device off and on again to "install" it.

Did that and we're all good now.

Would be nice if there was a way to power off and on without taking the battery out. Some of my users dont know how to do that.

Yeah seems like a simple thing, but I've had two users in the past week that I COULD NOT walk through taking off the battery cover on a 7130e.

So my wireless push failed in a terrible way. Out of 50ish users 1 device got the update OK, the others are showing Check Required on the Configuration Status line.

Any advice?

About a week ago, sadly. I've been going around manually updating, but if I could figure out why my push didn't work that would be nice, for the learning experience of it at least.

Thumbs down still got problems!

BES 4.06 HF4
Domino 6.53
Win2k Server

I've got a whopping 5 people updated out of 30. They've all successfully gotten the patchmanager 2.3 pushed to them.
All the one's that weren't updated, are getting a 138 error message on the handheld..

I've tried to update them via Rim's USB install site.
But they seem to be unable to service my request, for the last 6+ hours?
WTF????

I've been reading everyone else's success/failure stories. I got a few to update, after re-compiling/redeploying the patch.
Any Suggestions?

I was able to successfully push the patch handler to my 400+ handhelds, however, about 175 devices were not able to connect to RIM to download the appropriate patch. I opened a ticket with RIM on Feb 21 about this, and I finally found a GOOD RIM rep to work with today! And the issue was fixed. Here is what I sent my users who were still getting a "Patch not found" or "Unable to download patch" on their handhelds. It has worked for EVERY one who has tried it!

1) From your blackberry handheld, go into settings - options - advanced options. Click on Service Book. Look for Desktop [iPPP]. Highlight, click your trackwheel in and choose delete.
2) Pull your battery from your handheld and replace to reset your device.
3) Once the device comes back up. Go into settings - options - 2007 DST Patch to confirm that the patch is running. This can take 5 mins or so.
4) You will be prompted with a message on your handheld that states, "Time Zone info has been updated. Reset device? (1 of 4)". Choose yes.
5) The device can take 10-15 minutes to come back up.
6) Once back up, go into settings - options - advanced options - Service Book. Click trackwheel in and choose undelete.
